...Bridge too far?

A Truely awesome war film, Sometimes war films are much maligned and viewed as only watched by a certain audience - this is one of probably five classic 2nd world war films, and has an all star cast, brilliantly shot with a classic outcome to show not everything went the way of the allies, the ending is especially poignant when a deutch family leave thier ranshacked home near Arnheim - with just thier few belongings bundled into a horse cart - seemingly with no destination, meanwhile the injured troops spread on a lawn outside a british-American HQ Break out into a rousing rendition of 'Abide with me' just as the Germans raid again.......A Classic moment in a superb film.
