A number of the negative reviews complain about the 'bizarre plot' but it's not really about the plot. Well worth getting beyond the opening.
Also, someone complained 'phoney American accents' - as far as I know there is only one main American character and he is played by an American! (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0842302/bio)
