Whilst I enjoyed watching this, I can't help but wonder if A Chorus Line as a film, doesn't come close to the brilliance of it as a theatrical experience.

The whole film was mostly set on stage, pretty much a one-scene show.

As a film, it got a bit tedious and I would have preferred to watch a straight forward recording of the stage show.

The songs are big and heartfelt and it made the film worth watching.
