A CLASSIC

This version of A Christmas Carol deserves to become a classic to rank with the great Allister Sim version.

If anyone gets close to Sim's Scrooge then it MUST be George C Scott.

Every moment of his performance breathes class, here is a true Hollywood Great in action and it shows.

He also bring a new side to the character which gives it a freshness.

The supporting cast from Suzannah York, Nigel Davenport and Frank Finlay to David Warner etc are all first class.

Added to it being in colour and well produced, this all adds up to a wonderful film version of the Dickens Classic.
