Need to keep the kids happy for a few hours?By a customer , 01 Nov 2011
[Highly rated reviewer]Had to look after my 5 and 6 year old cousins over the weekend so decided the best way to keep them happy is by getting a load of DVD's. This one was by far and away the biggest success of the weekend and in my mind the bargain of a lifetime, not only did it keep them entertained for a single watch but they forced me to replay it for them four times in two days....

B-grade and clichédBy a customer , 15 Jun 2013Fine to watch if there's nothing better. I found it very clichéd and predictable. All the bits of the 'formula' were there - the poor, harassed aunt, the naughty children, the grumpy old man, the romantic castle and the prince - but the characters had little depth to them, and are not really believable. I also found Milo's voice really annoying to listen to. It also seemed that there was not enough money in the budget for a decent wardrobe or hair stylist. Ms McGrath's hair looked like it hadn't had a decent wash in ages! The children watched it without complaint, but I found it totally B-grade.
Easy to watch. Would watch again and againBy Jenna_Lovefilm (4 reviews) , 06 Jun 2013Beautiful romantic story. Not just for kids, adults understand it more. Would definitely watch again! Got into the movie straight away.
Enjoyable but nothing wonderfulBy a customer , 19 Nov 2012Pretty much what you expect from a straight to DVD film. I can see this appearing on Channel 5 in the afternoons. Its not bad, but its not good. The storyline is as predictable as it gets and the dialogue is a little saccharine and at times forced. The acting is passable but I struggled to find Katie McGrath believable as an American (this might be because I'm too used to seeing her in Merlin). I did love the locations and as a knitwear designer I enjoyed the winter clothes (I love the knitted dress Jules wore at one point!). Fellow knitters will understand what I mean.
Overall, enjoyable but sadly, nothing wonderful.
TOTAL TRIPEBy YOLLEL (32 reviews) from STOURBRIDGE , 05 Feb 2012The worst acting ( (sorry to use the acting word in this case ) we have ever seen, as a family we switched off after 15 terrible minutes.
Roger Moore must have money problems to be in this garbage, he should have a whip round and buy up every copy and burn it.
Who financed this mess ??.
A Christmas PrincessBy a customer , 05 Feb 2012It was a great romantic-comedy, aimed for a teenage audience. Me and my sister loved watching it, Katie McGrath was a great choice for the lead female role.
