Star cast in a thoughtful well directed way. Alec Guinness was superb, wasn't he always superb.

Nice, but ultimately wishy-washy.

Not what I expected but...
A nice gentle film. Leo McKern is great but Alec Guiness's performance reminds one again that you shouldn't judge peple on appearances.
