A Genius, Two Partners And A Dupe
Produced by Sergio Leone (and considered by many the missing link in Leone's career), A Genius, Two Partners and a Dupe (a.k.a. Nobody's the Greatest, a.k.a. Genius) features 70s superstar Terence Hill and Patrick McGoohan. In one of the last major productions of the 70s boom in Italian Westerns, Hill plays freewheeling con-artist Joe Thanks in this semi-sequel to the hugely succesful My Name is Nobody, up against crooked cavalry officer Major Cabot (McGoohan) who is planning an Indian massacre in order to line his own pockets. Featuring a barnstorming performance from McGoohan, plus a bizarre cameo from Klaus Kinski, Genius was directed by Damiano Damiani, who also directed the classic Spaghetti Western A Bullet For The General.
