Not For Morons but for Fans
By a customer from Cornwall , 23 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Obviously 3 of the existing reviewers have no understanding of The Beatles. This is how they were... and this was their genuine sense of humour.... and this was their music.
Sorry, but if you're a 21st Century reality TV cretin whose idea of music is McFly or rap then this film is not for you. You are not worthy of it.- Was this review helpful to you?

(30)The phenomena that was The Beatles
By Kulturmonster (59 reviews) from Ipswich , 27 Apr 2012How do you describe what it was like to live in the era of 'The Beatles'? Even now, and perhaps in a hundred years time, there are The Beatles and then every other group. Even if you hate this film, it will give you some insight into the phenomenon of the Fab Four. In the history of musical films, this is a huge leap forwards, and despite many many pop music films having been made since, this still stands as one of the best. It is a masterpiece of black-and-white photography too, the film would hardly have worked in colour.
The excitement, the silliness, the musical originality and public adulation are all here.- Was this review helpful to you?

Amusing, nostalgic but inspirational!
By Neilmonkeygoat (3 reviews) , 20 Jan 2012If only modern 'musicians' had half the intelligence, whit and humour of these guys....but less about modern trash and more about the film!
It's a little odd, with steptoe being a crazy grandfather, but it's more a mockumentary into the daily lives of the fab four.
Great music - obviously - and funny. The black and white film is lovely, fine detail and crisp.
Enjoy...then go on ebay to look for vinyls!- Was this review helpful to you?

Cheekiness and Charm - it's the Beatles!
By Hihopes (2 reviews) from Bucks , 01 Apr 2010This movie is just irresistible. It is the perfect portrayal of the Beatles unique charm, humour and chemistry, and it is the film that plunged me and other seventeen-year-olds into a full-on infatuation with the Fab Four. I dare you to find ANYBODY who can watch this movie and not fall head over heels for them.- Was this review helpful to you?
