Totally over the top and thoroughly enjoyable, this Barbara Cartland romantic thriller stars Helena Bonham Carter and Edward Fox. Helena plays tenacious Serena Staverly who's sent to live with distant relative and veritable harpy Diana Rigg. There she falls in love with rake and emotionally frigid MarcusGilbert and uncovers a dastardly smuggling plot. The end is inevitable — triumphant love and no tongues. Trashy, terrible but completely watchable, it's so bad you won't be able to turn it off, and there's a splendid cameo from Stewart Granger.

    Romantic Sunday

I thought this was sad but great! A real sunday afternoon film, while the husband's out with the kids, and you fancy a bit of old fashion romance, chilvary, and gallantry, not forgetting a good bottle of wine; perfect!
