    Brilliant - A Must for any history buff

    Professor Schama tells the history of Britain in such a way that it leaves you wanting to find out more about each subject he covers.

    If this bloke was my History teacher when I was a school, I swear I would have taken my degree in the subject. Five Stars.

    Disc 6 is for enthusiasts only

    Most people will know the BBC series. You either like it or not - depending partly on whether you like Simon Schama's presentation style.

    Each of the first 5 discs contains three episodes of the BBC programme, but disc 6 is the extra stuff - promotional material, a lecture, interview.....

    I think the first five discs are worth seeing for one man's slant on English history, but don't bother with disc 6 uless you are really keen. The rating is for disc 6 only
