Colin Farrell tops himself with an extraordinary performanceBy Thander Easton from London, England , 28 Apr 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]Colin Farrell as a boy - Bobby (played as an adult by Farrell) loses his parents and brother, ending up adopted by the family of his best friend Jonathan. His friend Jonathan has feelings for him and it goes beyond friendship and Bobby is open to it. Impressive, delicate and powerful game of emotions. Again Colin Farrell gives us an extraordinary and dramatic performance.

Not for everyone I guessBy moviejas (21 reviews) from Oswestry , 29 Apr 2009certainly not for those who need action or high drama, but Ienjoyed this a lot. Quite apart from its gently reassuring message, and exceptional acting, it is very funny - there are some superb one-liners. It teeters on the edge of mawkishness from time to time, but never quite falls over. Much recommended, though - can someone tell me if Bobby's 'part' was cut from the DVD?
Menage a troisBy Codge (38 reviews) from Chipstead , 19 Apr 2009Michael Cunningham's thoughtful novel turned into a pretty good movie. Charts the story of two boyhood friends who grow apart. One moves to New York where he meets up and, although he is bi-sexual and active in the gay circuit lives with a women The other friend joins him in NY again and the three of them live together. However being set in an era when HIV/Aids was 'endemic' in the gay community, one of the two men contracts the illness.
Well acted and holds your interest.
Bad FilmBy amberlight (10 reviews) from Birmingham , 19 Mar 2009I did't finish watching it, got bored and depressed. I could not see were the film was going.
LovelyBy a customer from Bath , 13 Feb 2009A charmimg and involving film, missing 5 only because of the slightly fey ending. Wonderful performances by all and Colin Farrell a revelation (besides being very sexy without trying). Surprisingly moving, e.g. the impromptu verandah dance. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Really quite charming!!!By a customer from Hebburn , 02 Feb 2009Not the best, not the worst film I have ever seen. A bit too short for my liking, I would have preferred it to have gone into a bit more detail at the end. Colin Farrell, however, was great in it and looked great once the long hair came off!! lol Give it a go!!
