I rented the book from my college library, and when I found out there was a film made I wanted to watch it. It is a good film, and Robert Wagner is very good as the handsome yet slightly psychotic lead.

What threw me was in the book there are three sisters, yet the film only mentions two, and the ending is completely different. (There might have been a good explanation as to why they changed the ending.)

Also I thought his death wasn't a very good one, not really as dramatic as the character might have deserved.
