After scoring several direct hits with his blaxploitation spoof I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, Keenen Ivory Wayans shoots high, wide and not very handsomely with this scattergun parody of film noir and 'hood crime pictures. Clearly spreading himself too thin, Wayans seems to be the only performer with real faith in his script, which is woefully predictable considering he was the brains behind the In Living Color TV series that helped launch Jim Carrey. His direction is equally sloppy, as he too often settles for the easy (and occasionally offensive) gag and fails to rein in the excessive exuberance of Jada Pinkett (now married to Will Smith).
Having profitably ransacked the '70s blaxploitation genre for the jaunty send-up I'm Gonna Git You Sucka,... read more on Time Out
An action comedy that fails on both counts, unless you find men with guns inherently amusing.
An extremely cheesey, poorly scripted wagon for the star of the film who also wrote and directed the movie. Avoid at all costs
Going through a phase of watching Wayans Bros Films after seeing White Chicks, but wasn't totally satisfied witht his one, had its moments but not that funny.
I first saw this film a few years ago and I thought it was good then.... saw a few weeks ago and I like it even more now. It is a good all round story line and a fantastic show by Jada Pinkett who is backed up with a good cast...
Watch out for the dog's and get ready to sing along to James Brown - Brilliant 10 out of 10!

Not the worst film I have ever seen but pretty damn close. Utter tripe.
