I haven't seen much of Albert Finney's work, but thought he excelled in this role - a man who always tries to see the glass half full, and who brightens up the morning commute of his passangers with poetry and prose. Finney brings charisma and charm to this role.
Rufus Sewell, Tara Fitzgerald, and Michael Gambon all provide a strong supporting cast who help capture an everyday communal feel of Irland in the early 60s.
It's definitely worth a watch.
