A Murderous Affair Details

Virginia Madsen is probably best known for being terrorised by the Candyman and for having a Reservoir Dog for a brother (Michael). Here she plays another in a long line of femmes fatales in one of those “based on a true story” TV movies. The Carolyn Warmus case made headline news in the States, as a seemingly respectable teacher not only had an affair with a married man, but also murdered his wife. The frankly sensational events have been toned down from their tabloid origins for TV consumption. ER's William H Macy, Oscar-nominated for his role in Fargo, also pops up in support.
