    FREDDIE FLOP

Maybe it's me but this was not a patch on the first one.

    Will he ever die

I wish I could get some sleep..this time he is even more powerful...and yes, watch it, just make sure your sofa is close to the wall and your wide awake.

This sequel to the original Nightmare on Elm Street isn't nearly as scary or gory as the first, I found it more funny than anything.

Still not a bad film though, worth watching.

More gorey but Freddy's still scary

One thing I didn't take in when veiwing the first film for the first time, was that Freddy was actually quite scary. In this installment he still is and enjoys his power to torment a poor teenager through his dreams. He's also more direct with his slaughter no longer trying to hide making him a more visible threat.

There are fewer intervals when it is hard to tell whether your watching a dream or not, those that are there are also easier to spot. This is is still a good installment with a very well rounded plot and villain.

    not too bad

Not as good as the first film, but still worth seeing if you liked that. Easy to watch, and not too long.

    Good but....

A good movie but not as good as the first. Freddie seemed to have lost some of the menace that made him a towering omnipotent figure but saying that still agood film and worth watching.

    Best of the Bunch

Putting a psychiatric spin on the night mare thing is quite fun. I never tire of the trick of making you think that the characters have woken up but are still dreaming - just like real life. This is my favourite and I've seen them all with my young son !
