"...A cannily conceived follow-up in the hit series....The legion of special effects experts working here more than deliver their goods..."
This time, Old Pizza Face terrorises a bunch of 'sleep-disturbed' kids whose doctors believe they share a group... read more on Time Out
"...The film's dream sequences are ingenious, and they feature some remarkable nightmare images..."
For me this had to be one of the best in the complete set...they really went to town with this one.
After the good but slightly disapointing Freddies Revenge, this film marks a return to form with special effects that for the time were groundbreaking and even now can cause a lot of people to wince and look under the bed at night!
prob my favorite in the series, exellent

This third film in the series is much better than the second one, its more in line with the first films story. Would recomend to rent it if you've not seen it yet.

your not sleeping are you? watch this and the rest, you wont sleep for weeks, freddy is back
the writers got it right on this one! two thumbs up
I like all the nightmare on Elm street films, they have just enough gore and horror to keep you watching and a half decent story to go with it! Always worth a rent!

This one was a return to greatness after the dissapointing Freddy's Revenge. The return of Nancy was an excellent bonus, also an early glimpse of Lawerence Fishburne (although billed as Larry?!). Great stuff, really one of the best Freddy films.
I have only watched 1,2 & 3 but this ones the best.
As the reviews are saying they really went to town on making more of a story than just this bloke in the same old strippy jumper going around killing people.
This has more of a Jamanji meets the shining/chucky/hellraiser appeal.
The story is based more in the dreams and the dreamworlds are quite frightening with one or two jumps instore.
For me you'll never beet the head popping out the boat in JAWS for the most jump out your seat moment.
Hope 4 & 5 are as good.
