Interestingly Robert Englund is driving the school bus at the start of the movie and very nicely he turns into Freddy!
Jessy's family actually seem to be a bit of a characture.
Jessy's love interest Lisa looks suspiciously like a young Meryl Streep.
There's a sadistic baseball coach who punishes Jessy and a school colleague into doing pressups after fighting in the game.
'You've got the body, I've got the brain.'
'If you want to play with animals Mr. Walsh, join the circus!'
There's a very similiar scene whereby Jesse awakes from a nightmare in class, (just like the female lead in the first episode). Although this time Jesse has a snake from the biology lab around his neck!
Basically Jesse and his family have moved into the house, (vacated by the previous family on Elm Street in the first movie). Its a constant irritation of Jesse's father that Jesse hasn't yet unpacked his things!
Jesse and his girlfriend actually discover the last occupant's diary and it strikes a chord with Jesse becaue she is writing about Freddy wanting to take her to the boiler room.
There's a strange scene with an attacking budegare. Freddy is genuinely quite scary too, (perhaps the scariest in the whole series).
Amusingly Jesse goes to a bar in pjs, orders a beer and runs into his gym teacher who is in some sort of fetish top! - After he is attacked by a whole manner of gym apparati, (tennis balls, basket balls etc) he goes onto meet his death.
Just like the film that goes before Jesse decides to take sleeping pills.
The guy flicking the burgers at the party looks quite like Jack Nicholson!
Whats quite interesting is Freddy actually appears very little. When he does appear and have his tete a tetes with Jessy he is genuinely terrifying!
There's the long tongue in this movie, (viewers of this Franchise will know what I'm talking about!) - I love it!
Its an interesting concept this film because there's no other in the series that have Freddy inside someone.
'He owns me.'
'You are all my children now.'
The end is like a wield soppy horror love story. She kisses Freddy! - Just watch it. There's only actually a very few killings in this installment, (that changes as the series progresses and they become more elaborate too).
'I am not afraid of you.'
A good horror movie always give you a bizarre but good very ending and this one does not disappoint!
