Having seen the first two films, (which obviously is the logical way of watching the series!) I moved onto the third.

The film revolves around the experiences of a bunch of youngsters within a psychaitric hospital who all share the same nightmares with Freddie. It later emerges they are the last of the Elm St children.

I must say that I have found the acting in all three films to be somewhat suspect but this movie really took the biscuit. The return of Nancy adds some strength - but her acting seems highly dubious.

There are truly hammy moments. When the whole group first go into a dream, following a hypnosis session, it feels as if I was watching a Disney movie - the junkie becomes some heroine (forgive the pun!), the guy in the wheelchair can walk and has wizard powers! They all find their, 'Dream Powers.'

In summary it seemed to me like a half hearted effort at best. It doesn't have the punch of the second film and the two small upsides are the good musical turns, (just like the first film in fact) and its interesting to see a young Laurence Fishburne with hair!
