All is not what it seems....By a customer from SW London , 15 Aug 2009
[Highly rated reviewer]Expect the unexpected.....this movie has alot of twists and turns. It's good to watch because it keep you guessing till about half way through when the viewer is bound to guess what is REALLY going on. All I can say is all is not as it seems.....

good thriller , keeps you guessingBy smokeychops (670 reviews) from newcastle under lyme , 18 Dec 2011I thought this was a good film, not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Thought the story was good , good acting and keeps you guessing through the film.
Worth watchingBy a customer , 14 Dec 2011I really enjoyed this film in fact its the best thriller I have seen for a while, well worth watching.
Efficiently predictable ThrillerBy VIDEOMONSTER (252 reviews) from Glasgow , 03 Dec 2011Having just seen this film, I personally think it is overrated. Director David Twohy and the cast are all on top form. The film looks good with an unknown Hawaii setting a great location for the film. However I spotted the twist a mile away about five minutes into the film, which somewhat dulled my enjoyment of the film. This said Milla Jovovich is great playing against type, while Steve Zahn and Timothy Olyphant are also on top form. Kiele Sanchez whom I had never heard of makes the most of her screen time. Chris Hemsworth and Marley Shelton unfortunately are wasted in their roles.
A well observed thriller but hardly adds anything to the genre other than the location.
A GAME OF TWO HALVESBy Variaxer (24 reviews) from Glasgow , 03 Dec 2011Sometimes mixed reviews of extremes of ratings intrigue us to take the chance. This was one of my chance rentals which I did quite enjoy along the way but at the end I was left thinking of an opportunity wasted to make something really more convincing even though the twist came as a total surprise. I then had to go back thru on fast forward and pause to try and sort out a couple of bits to make the penny drop...but its still not clicked and this is where you will start to agree here with the derogatory reviews.
You become sucked in and deluded for the first hour then when its all over you say to yourself....'dont think it would have worked like that somehow'....As summed up by another review..Stupid, stupid stupid.
Its one of those movies people will have different thoughts on. Me? Ive forgotten about it already.
Dull as dishwater!By S7005H (3 reviews) from Halifax , 02 Dec 2011Reading the plot and the positive reviews made this film appealing! I wish we hadn't bothered.
The movie has some interesting ideas but just doesn't fulfil the potential.
Plot holes are a plenty and the style of humour used in the movie makes it less believable. The film would have been better done with a more serious tone and a better script.
That acting was poor from most of the actors and the characters are just completely one dimensional and boring.
One good point is the twist was ok but could be seen from a mile away.
Rent if you haven't got anything to watch but there are far better movies out there!
