it is a great play and the acting is good, but the film is a bit too long

I`d read the play before I watched the film and I loved it. I expected the film to be the same exciting and moving. It is a good film with really good acting but unfortunately some scenes are too long making the viewer lose interest. If the director cut out a few mins, it`d be a nice film to watch.
