  • Unwatchable...

...and I don't just mean that I didn't like it. The digital effect that has been applied to the whole film is very hard on the eye - it's like watching a badly made cartoon. I might have persisted if the plot had grabbed my attention, but it didn't.

  • Graphically Unneccesary

Couldn't really understand why they'd gone to all the trouble of painting over the film. Presumably because they wanted to make it look more like a comic, but it seemed unneccesary to me. The story's pretty weirdly cultish, all about a drug in the not too distant future. Made for the younger set i think.

Great movie. I have watched this several times now.

The style of animation is different. That dies take some getting used to. The story can be a bit hard to follow if you are not paying full attention.

    Most definitely worth the watch!

what an awful film!!! has definately made my top 10 worst films of all time - felt like taking that drug just to escape the utter rubbishness of this film.

thought that it could have been a 'short' rather than a 90 minutes dragged out mess that it turned out to be. I'm normally really open to different films & although I'd read most of the reviews about this film I stuck with it to the end before making a decision.

  • The only way to watch Dick, Phillip K that is...

i saw this film at the cinema and didnt really get it or enjoy it, but then watched it again at home and found the style and pace just spot on. Its a film you forget yourself in and remember for a long time after.

Stylistically its a massive step beyond what linklater did with waking life and possibly the only way you can take on some of phillip k dick's work.

You really feel for Keanu's character and his lost sense of self.

if you're interested in narcotics, scifi or new cinematic forms give this film a go.

This film has a very intriguing story line with good twists, a very dark undertone and some great humour that runs right until the end.

The animation is not really in a style i like (looks like cell shading over real acting) but it's still good enough not to lose it's atmosphere.

Plus Robert Downey JR is in it.
