A Separate Peace
Based on John Knowles's classic novel, A SEPARATE PEACE tells the story of two boys who discover the power of friendship during World War II. With the war raging abroad, Gene (J Barton) and Finny (Toby Moore) are studying at the distinguished Devon prep school in a special summer program designed to graduate young men before they are drafted. Assigned to room together, the boys are complete opposites. Gene is shy and studious, while Finny is outgoing, athletic, and impulsive. Before long, Finny's infectious personality rubs off on Gene, and the two embark on an exciting new friendship. But when Gene's schoolwork suffers as a result of his extracurricular activities, he wonders whether Finny is conspiring against him. The young men's relationship is tested by jealousy and resentment, ultimately culminating in an event that will permanently alter both Gene and Finny forever.
