Shockingly good

Rented this not really knowing what to expect - but anticipating mildly watchable with emabarrassing 80s overtones.
In actual fact it turned out to be a keenly observed slice of office politics and powerplay - spiced with an occasional low-key murder - and far closer to the bone than the Office could ever be.
Having worked closely with characters like these, I found myself inwardly cheering when each got his well-deserved comeuppance.
80s overtones aside - this is just as true to life in today's corporate world as it was when it was made.

Quality Caine

Excellent
By a customer from London , 12 Jan 2009Unexpectedly, I really enjoyed this film. Michael Caine is superb, the darkness to his character comes out so quickly that it's a surprise but you soon get used to it. I found myself almost giggling with trying to work out who he was going to 'off' next.
I won't say any more, in case I spoil it for anyone. It's a short film, only 1 hour and 20 minutes, and you really won't regret renting it.- Was this review helpful to you?

One Up For The Downtrodden

I have a funny feeling that I shouldn't have done, and if he had disposed of the girl on the railway platform he would have lost me. The Director though was playing games with us and the Columbo-like detective was getting closer.
