Outstanding film, really wish it would be released on dvd cos it would be a sellout. I watched it at the cinema and had the soundtrack and the video that got lost in moving unfortunately.

Very emotional film that really got got you to you especially the outstanding singing. Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease release it whom ever holds the rights to it. I know as yet there is no plan to, unfortunately :(

Barbra Sreisand tells us all to Watch Closely Now when this ultimate delight reaches its peak of utopic cinematic bliss with an ending to the best pice of cinematography endorsed by the culmination of herself and Kris Kristofferson.

This is true to microscopically detailed form which, all I can add to is - WATCH. x

cracking 70s rock & roll love story

well they dont make them like this no more! But thats how it was back then, it was the mid 70s and this was a cracker and it had everything, music, stars, drama, love, and of course tears! I was born in 69 but having 3 older sisters would have probably been allowed to stay up and watch it if 'I keep quiet' and 'dont tell mum' at the start of the 80s when it first hit the tv and it must have struck a chord with me as i have made a point of watching it when it has been repeated over the past 30 years. but on the other hand this film now will seem very dated because simply it is! its 35 years old!! so yes fashion, music, the way we make films has changed so much, but more importantly what we expect from a film has changed dramatically! we expect it to be so honest, so truthful, like a fly on the wall these days, and 'a star is born' wont get many stars from young film buffs who expect this quality. but for film lovers in their 30s, 40s, and 50s, be generous and get ya stars out!

They mean it's not available on DVD as yet !!

I've seen this movie many times. Great story - lots of clips of both stars performing live - fantastic love story. It's a must see !!!

I wish it were on DVD as i would not only rent it - I would buy it.
