Thriller in which a police sergeant's attempts to dissuade his son-in-law from continuing an affair go badly wrong. Sgt. Ed Stagg (Lloyd Bridges) is an L.A. cop who is perhaps overly protective of his daughter, Tina (Sallie Shockley). When he discovers that her husband, Steve (Frank Converse), is cheating on her with Louise (Anne Helm), Ed decides to confront the pair to try and save his daughter from heartbreak. However, when his involvement ends up causing an accidental death, Ed finds himself responsible for solving a crime he committed and struggling desperately to cover his tracks...
