    [Highly rated reviewer]

An interesting film though very slow by modern standards. One felt the maker needed to attend a course on movie construction as more could have been made of its nods to scenes in classic movies. Presenting the entire list of credits and acknowledgments at the beginning of the film was not a good idea. Clearly shot with affection but in need of some drastic editing.

  • Curiously enjoyable

It may not be 'Cinema Paradiso' but this has an alluring old world charm. It is not so much 'entertainment' as an aid to meditation upon one's own values. Perhaps worth watching just for the scene in which the projectionist lectures the Law Academy on the ethics of lying.

Beautifully filmed but not for those who struggle with a slow pace and minimal plot. Non actors made it more poignant and delivered a touching tribute to cinema and it's importance.

  • Useful life, useless film

I watched the film right through, waiting for something to happen! Did I miss something? It may have artistic merit but it was too subtle for me - a big yawn. The only good thing was that it was short.

If this is what they call film making, hand me the camcorder. A terrible film that is completely pointless. You'd be better off spending your hour watching paint dry!!!
