Carol Brady's (Shelley Long) presumed-dead husband Roy (Tim Matheson) re-appears and is taken in by the loving family. What they don't know is that Roy is actually a deadly imposter, who wants a carved horse owned by the Bradys -- that unbeknownst to them is worth millions. Will Roy ever get his hands on that artifact.

One of the rare occasions when a sequel works better than the original, this follow-up to the big-screen adaptation of TV's The Brady Bunch not only pokes more fun at the Bradys, but mocks them more savagely. Yet the movie still has great affection for the characters, who are wonderfully played by the cast, especially Shelley Long and Gary Cole as parents Carol and Mike Brady. Still stuck in a 1970s time warp in the 1990s, the Bradys are stunned by the appearance of a man claiming to be Carol's former husband, who was previously believed to have been dead. This leads to drugs, kidnapping, and stepsiblings Marcia and Greg becoming romantically attracted to each other, though it all happens with that innocent Brady charm.
"...As the plot thickens, and does it ever, A VERY BRADY SEQUEL cheerfully skirts the gulf between the innocence of the Brady's and the hazards of contemporary life..."
Having been a total stranger to the Brady Bunch before watching the movies, I valued them on their very own merits.
The Brady Bunch Movie was an enjoyable romp for anybody, but drew its charm more obviously from referencing to the original series. The Sequel is a sheer joy in its own right and my has it got its tongue firmly lodged in its cheek. It is a lot funnier and naughtier than the first one. Shelley Long is still the brilliantly derangedly perfect mom ('My it's windy out here. Good job I have this strong hairspray in...), poor Jen is still the laughing stock ('Don't kidnap our Mum... Take Jen!')- but this simply laughs at itself more and as much as its roots.
Fabulously super cheesy, super cheeky entertainment that will have you smile, laugh and maybe even Shananananana along to the Bradys.

You really have to be familiar with all the episodes of The Brady Bunch in order to even get this film.
It's trite, it's stupid and it's silly, but if you grew up with the Brady Bunch, you'll laugh.
