I saw this TV drama in 1988 and thought it was brilliant at the time. The story is basically about the election of a radical truly socialist government in the UK. It explores how from the word go the complete power of the British establishment is used to bring this government down ( ie dirty tricks, hostile press ) Nowadays it seems like a totally lost cause with over 14 years of capitalist hedgmony in the world. SAD !!
