Abbas antipodean adventure brought to life.By PaulaWestwood (397 reviews) from Ashton-Under-Lyne , 14 Aug 2008
[Highly rated reviewer]This follows the (mis)fortunes of an Australian radio presenter tasked by his station manager to land 'the' interview to end all interviews during Abba's antipodean tour in 1977 and as well of a bit of a giddy and dated story and some questionable fashion (fans - not the band) this holds up really well the music sounding fresh as it was made yesterday.
We saw this in Aug 2008 on the big screen at the cinema, released for one nightl only due to the popularity of the new Mamma Mia movie. And do you know what we really enjoyed it. As much as anything this day and age it offers a real priviledged view of Lasse Hallstroms early work, before taking the helm and directing such heavyweight movies as The Ciderhouse Rules, the superb Chocolat and Casanova etc etc. All in all, especially for Abba maniacs everywhere, a definate must watch.

ABBA the movieBy Raybon (8 reviews) , 22 Oct 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]I enjoyed this movie and it brought back great memories from back in 80's the music has you singing along. An leaves you in great happy mood. ABBA was one of the greatest groups ever and this movie was excellent. Well worth watch specially if your feeling a little sad.
70's ClassicsBy a customer , 22 Jun 2012I love the 70's and the 80's. I am a huge fan of ABBA as well, after watching this fantastic Bluray about the history of the group. The special features needs some Vintage TOTP pop videos.
Thank You For The Music !!!By a customer , 06 Apr 2012'ABBA - THE MOVIE' takes you right back to the 1970's, with all the wacky clothing, hairstyles and of course, the fabulous music.
No other group has ever dominated the charts with such fantastic songs since ABBA split in 1982 and this film reminds you of those wonderful years.
Not Enough ABBABy TrevorR (74 reviews) from Boston , 12 Feb 2011This film is spoilt by the rubbish story line involving a dopey Australian Radio Journalist. Take out this rubbish and I would give it 4.5 stars. The bits with ABBA in are very enjoyable, however the camera angles are mostly above the girls waists missing the best bits. Blu-ray version is no different from the DVD version in terms of quality.
