Seeing AC/DC on television has always been a rare occurrence. But when they did grace the airwaves it was like a bolt of lightning--their energy and spirit transforming a typically staged video into something magical and larger-than-life. Here, for the first time, is the definitive history of AC/DC on video. DVD 1 starts with their breakthrough performance of "Baby Please Don't Go" on Australian television, through early promo clips, their rare turn on 70s mainstay The Midnight Special and ends with the Spanish television performance taped just ten days before singer Bon Scott's death. DVD 2 traces the classic 80s and 90s videos and includes--for the first time on DVD--the home video titles "Fly On The Wall", "Who Made Who" and "Clipped".

After the split with comedy partner Dean Martin, the unique talents of Jerry Lewis made him one of those performers you just couldn't ignore. The French, in particular, seem to find him irresistible. But the man who influenced Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler began at one point to overreach himself and this movie is a sorry reminder of that period. Here, Lewis plays seven roles as potential guardians of precocious little Donna Butterworth, heiress to a fortune. He also directed this clumsy, mawkish and unfunny load of old tripe. Better to remenber the sheer inventive comic genius of The Nutty Professor or The Ladies' Man instead. The 1960s Paramount Technicolor gives this a spurious gloss it doesn't merit.
If you were into the Bon Scott era....this is for you, which is the reason I bought this, its pure adrenalin from a young Angus who is now seriously getting on to run around a stage for two hours shacking his head, the highlights have to be 'Baby Please Dont Go' with Bon in drag, infact up to track 14 this disc is worth checking out,Phill Rudd (drummer)smiles which is very weird,Angus & Bon have a pretend punch up,Malcolm's guitar gets attacked by Ang's teeth Hendrix style.Tracks 15-18 are just promos of tracks from Highway To Hell, worth a look if never seen before, tracks 19-20 were recorded 10 days before Bon's untimely death in a TOTPS type studio,at which point they appear to be more professional rather then having fun.2nd disc is a bit naff especially the Fly on the Wall section, but if Brian cut the mustard for you then again it worth a peek. The best stuff is generally the live stuff which fails to materialize on disc 2,apart from 'For those About To Rock',but guess people would argue thats available with 'stiff Upper','No Bull' & Donington which are all excellent in their own right, but I do think disc 2 could/should have been better, hence the 3 stars.
