think aashique is the...By a customer from LIVERPOOL , 11 Jun 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]think aashique is the last film (till date) which becomes a super hit just because of its superb and out class music.... otherwise many films came after it having great music but average package and contents and became flop...
the story is of a typical boy girl ... girl is in un pleasent situations and guy win her despite of many hurdels and the un pleasent an dselfish people around her...
acting wise the both gawky (yeah i mean it) hero and heroine look good and fit in their roles... specially annu agarwaal acts well as a reserved and sensitive girl . rahul also look akward but still likable.... i feel sorry that the viewers liked their awkwardness :) just for this first film and rejects them both in their all films after aashiqui...
direction wise mahesh bhatt was not in the full form and fail to re create the magic of dil hai keh manta nahi , sadak etc as aashiqui was not interesting, gripping and entertaining like these films...
special mention and acclaims for Nadeem shravan who gave such a wonderful music which will be written from golden words in hindi cinema?s history as one of the outclass music scores.. i remember the year 1991 and 1992 year when everyone was mad for aashiqui?s songs and there was a shortage of its audio cassettes due to very hugh demand... can u forget these songs 1. ik sanam chahiey aashiqui kay liey. 2. main dunya bhula duun ga. 3dheeray dheeray say meri zindagi main aana. 4ab teray bin ji laeyn gaey hum. 5. dil ka aalam main kia batuun tujhey. 6. tu meri zindagi hai. 7. nazar kay saamnaey jigar kaay paas.
i am recommending this film mostly because of music ... also direction and treatment wise thsi film is pretty good but not as great as its music.

The Film CriticBy a customer from London , 06 Oct 2005This isn't much of a movie, more of a music video with great songs. The soundtrack gets 5 stars, but i would give the film 1 star.
