  • Quite a Charmer

There's a very interesting situation at the core of this film, and its amusing ramifications are explored to great effect. It never descends into sentimentality, but it doesn't let you forget that at its centre are a disturbed child and a family with problems. There's a delicate balance between comedy and tragedy, which is quite an achievement, and the central role is beautifully played by the child actor. Well worth watching

  • Good but disappointing end

I liked many elements of this film - the characters, the style of the film, realistic - with touches of sadness and humour intermixed - and the acting was very good, especially that of the boy. It's very touching and kept me interested all the way through it. But I was disappointed by how they chose to end the film; it could have been more clever. But then again, it was probably more realistic that way. I was left feeling a bit sad.

I love how it's such a serious topic mixed with some humour. My eyes welled up a lot towards the end but I was laughing at earlier parts. That little boy played his character perfectly, I think. Definitely recommend!

  • Enjoyable and entertaining.

A film about a young boy's mental health problems doesn't sound like a great film to watch as entertainment. However, this dark comedy drama is a very funny, and moving, film.

Wouldn't describe it as hilarious, but more a touching and sensitive portrayal of a boy disturbed by the absence of his father, taking on that role and making sense of his father reappearing. Well acted by all the main characters.

Compelling throughout and well made and acted. Certainly a very good debut from young actor Luna. Never tried to over ephasise and go over the top. Really impressive and enjoyable.
