Fresh from his unfortunate experience on the short-lived TV series Glory Days, Brad Pitt got one of his first opportunities to lead from the front in this below-par tale of sibling rivalry. He certainly looks the part as a clean-cut running star who tries to save cynical brother Rick Schroder from drug peddling by encouraging him to take up athletics. But few demands are made of Pitt's acting ability, as writer/director Sandy Tung's script is awash with clichéd situations and unconvincing sports sequences. However, it's fascinating to watch Pitt and Schroder competing with each other in the acting stakes in every scene.
A well-intentioned movie about teenage problems that may appeal to adolescents but not to adults.
....and its the worst film I've ever endured.
A great film starring Brad Pitt and Rick Schroder who are both in excellent form. A very uplifting film showing the strength and importance of family ties. I don't want to give anything else away and it is difficult to say more without doing so, but I can recommend this most warmly to those looking forward to a warm but not soppy film.
