Awesome action (spoken acting and script are pants but who cares when the action is this good!By royalstevep68 (4 reviews) , 18 Jul 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Odd one this.
Dont let the bad spoken acting comments put you off, other than that issue this is a real gem. Noone would expect real marines to be able to properly act - trust me ive seen worse from proper actors recently.
Action is superb and id say second to none.
Feels like call of duty without you playing it. Love the first person views too and dont think over done.
Yes, the spoken acting is wooden but the poor script didnt help. However, the action acting is superb and you really do get some sense of realism that few war/action films like this do.
Shame they didnt use one or two proper actors as this would have enhanced it.
Still you shouldnt miss this one!

Yawn FestBy HooperLFC (14 reviews) from Stoke-on-Trent , 05 Aug 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]A bit all over the place for me, didn't make much sense at times. Good explosions and army scene's in the film, reminded me of call of duty. But overall i was dissapointed with it, i got bored quick.
Very goodBy a customer , 04 Aug 2012Excellent film. Real navy seals and real ammo! They're correct that there isn't another film that captures the action like this.
Pravo, Semper Fidelis Marines.By dcaunceuk (3 reviews) , 03 Aug 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]Act of Valour is definitely one to watch, providing good action scenes from the eyes of real life Marines, the acting leaves somewhat to be desired but they carry it off well enough to keep you watching as the story unfolds. As the movie is produced from the minds of Real Marines the tactics, movements of characters and detail is realistic, giving it the edge over blockbusters with people getting shot 20 times and standing back up again. All in all it has its suspense, action, good thoughts on family marine life and portrays the brotherhood and commitment to one another, sacrificing to save each other. A great depiction of marine life, with the only downside the acting, but what do you expect these guys are not actors, they are marines who have been through warzones and battles, not plays and theatre.
A fantastic filmBy DBailey01 (36 reviews) from Huddersfield , 02 Aug 2012Where do I start?
Real Navy Seals playing themselves in what they do best! I think this is a great film which portrays emotion and split second decisions people in the armed forces make for the good of their country. On this level it is superb.
The acting, seems to however be a sticking point for many, but one I think is unjustified. At the end of the day, yes it is a film...but the film is based on real life situations, and that would be how they would respond in real life situations...which is the whole point of the movie?!
This is a superb film and one I will watch again and again. If you like action and raw emotion of a film, this is as good as any.
