The Kirby family's tumultuous life involves a marriage break up, faded career dreams, and a father who has fallen into poor mental health. Of the three brothers in the family, Alex (David Wenham) is beset by marital trauma, Toby (Samuel Johnson) is trying to have kids, and Marty (Hugo Weaving) attempts to revive his lackluster music career. But it is their ailing father that the story revolves around. Suffering from Alzheimer's, Cliff Kirby (Ray Barrett) attempts to piece together the significant events in his life before it's too late, including an attempted reconciliation with his errant sons that causes further family stress. A powerful drama, AFTER THE DELUGE is equal parts moving and disturbing.
