I was glued to the screen whilst watching this documentary. From the start you can tell that it's not your average documentary about a 'killer'. You are introduced to the person Aileen, not the callous monster that the press would have you believe. Her upbringing was so harsh, it made you really feel sorry for her, and admire her determination to leave town. It was an extremely balanced documentary showing her treatment at the hands of authorities and her experience of being on death row. The interviews with Aileen are powerful and thought-provoking. A must watch.

Amazing! Definitely watch it! I side with Aileen, after watching this film you feel for her and hear her side, she had a terrible life and didn't deserve the ending she was given! She was the victim and this film definitely shows it, I don't believe in God, myself, but I hope for her sake, he is looking after her! Nick Broomfield, is an amazing man and i'm so glad he made this film, to show us all she was a human being and we now know reasons behind what she did, yes they were punishable offences, but she did not deserve to be made to look like a monster. 100% recommend you watch this film, don't hesitate.. watch it now!

A very honest documentary, worth watching and thinking about afterwards. It was interesting to see her story being handled in a quite different way.

  • Innocent until proven guilty? How can this be?

How anyone can say she was innocent or guilty is beyond me. She is clearly mentally ill and she came up with many different stories, I don't know what is real and what isn't !She maintained she was raped throughout... I believe she was raped and this then turned her. along with the other issues within her life. It does seem that everyone in her life let her down. I don't know why the girlfriend got away with it, she clearly knew what she did and never said anything. I hope she also rest in peace.

Excellent insight into a disturbed mind and the death penalty and the great American life. A person that was completely let down by society from beginning to end, her crimes were shocking, murder as a result of a poor upbringing is no excuse, but a society like that, that she grew up in, a neighbourhood like that and a country that permits the death penalty has plenty to answer . I am completely against the death penalty and would never set foot on Miami soil, that is how strong I feel about it.
