Airplane! was always going to be a hard act to follow and this time the scattergun approach to the script carries more misfires and duds than normal. Still, the two leads from the original (Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty) are back on board again and the endless silliness of it all should win people over in the end. This time the flimsy storyline revolves around the first commercial flight to the Moon, but most of the fun to be had is in watching veteran actors taking turns in sending up their screen personae. Newcomers include William Shatner, Sonny Bono, Chuck Connors and Raymond Burr, but it is Lloyd Bridges and Peter Graves who once again shine.

TOP MOVIE !!!
There's a mad bomber on board, the first lunar shuttle is about to self-destruct, the engines are not working and -- worst of all -- the flight crew discovers they are completely out of coffee! It's the high flying lunacy of Airplane! all over again as Robert Hays and Julie Hagerty fly totally out of the ozone to recreate their hilarious original roles. The crew of crazies includes Peter Graves, Lloyd Bridges, William Shatner, Chad Everett, Sonny Bono, Raymond Burr and many others. Can Hays save the day again -- without caffeine?

Hard act to follow
'Airplane 2' was on a loser from the day it was born. The original makers had nothing to do with the sequel.
That said it is not as good, but isn't as bad as some people will have you believe. I'd certainly recommend it - especially if you like the whole spoof genre.
More of the same isn't always a dad thing. -
