Robin Williams makes a welcome return in this second sequel to the 1992 Disney animated adventure, Aladdin (his sharp voice characterisation as Genie was sadly missed in the first, The Return of Jafar). Here, he's on hand to help when Aladdin discovers that his father is actually the leader of the infamous 40 thieves. The animation is 24-carat Disney and adults will be just as entertained as the youngsters thanks to a well thought-out plot and witty vocals from a cast that also includes Jerry Orbach (Jennifer Grey's dad in Dirty Dancing) and character actor John Rhys-Davies (Raiders of the Lost Ark).
"...[Williams's] demonic energy boosts KING OF THIEVES above the knockoff level... -- Rating: B
quality is down and the film is not a patch on the first one, looks like a 'try harder' type of film, could have been a lot better
excellent! my 3 girls, aged between 14 & 2 years, loved it. master piece just like the first 2 in the series! well recommended.
