not good
By a customer from cornwall , 29 Nov 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
quality is down and the film is not a patch on the first one, looks like a 'try harder' type of film, could have been a lot better- Was this review helpful to you?

(27)Alladin & the King of Thieves
By gianino (631 reviews) from London , 21 Feb 2011I've preferred the first one but this sequel is still good to watch during a rainy Sunday afternoon. My friends kids loved it so it must be good :)- Was this review helpful to you?

A mere shadow
By MadMother (13 reviews) from London , 11 Aug 2010If you have seen the first one, you will find this film just as it says in the title of the review, a mere shadow of the previous film.
The story line is weak, the funny bits old hat, and sadly, after having watched the first film, my son was not drawn into 'the zone'. He barely watched it twice and was more interested in trying to draw than watch.
Such a shame.- Was this review helpful to you?

Realy good sequel
By a customer from south wales , 09 Jun 2010I know most times sequels should never be made, but disney had to do this because the first was amazing andkids loved the characters so much they had to make another, and I am glad they did...Not as good as the first but it was not bad either...i loved it and so did my 2 yr old...Some reviews have been slating this but i dont so how because if you like the first then you would like this..A lot of disney characters show up now and again due to the genie which is as funny as ever....
loved it...- Was this review helpful to you?

An okay film but it didn't feel like Aladdin
By Daz from Hertfordshire, England , 24 May 2010A few good songs and an interesting plot stopped this getting 2 stars. It wasn't the usual Disney magic and I can see why it went straight to video.
However I think fans of the original will still quite like this but don't expect it to be as polished as the original Aladdin. Jasmine wasn't in this much which I thought was a shame as I think shes one of the more interesting disney princesses. There are a few nods to other films which are good, such as a scene where the genie is dressed as mrs doubtfire which was obviously one of Robbin Williams films!
So there are a few good touches in this film but still not as strong as the original and just overall misses the mark a bit.- Was this review helpful to you?
