sophisticated and slow
A sophisticated but rather austere production sung - extremely well - in French. The protagonists slowly glide about the stage and strike poses. The atmosphere thus achieved suited the rather morbid subject matter and the music. 'Shadows...ghosts...' (Anne Sophie) was a highlight - the ballet was pleasant.
