Excellent!
By a customer from Suffolk, England , 19 Apr 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
A recommended watch for all the family, 25 minute stories that keep everyone guessing!. All presented by Mr Hitchcock himself, with wit and charm (possibly the best parts of the DVDs!). A truly excellent choice.- Was this review helpful to you?

An amusing fellow
By andrew steele from Chester , 30 Mar 2009There are 6 discs in this set but I have decided to cut my losses after the first disc and not order any more.
Hitchcock briefly introduces each 30 minute story (as he did when it was shown on TV) He is amusing, funny and sarcastic.
The individual stories were not that good . 6 stories were on this first disc. They were nicely filmed but the actual storylines were quite weak. I would recommend watching one of the discs if you want to revisit the nostalgia of the original TV series but don't get too excited.- Was this review helpful to you?

good entertainment
By itstinks (681 reviews) from North of Reading , 30 Nov 2007A mix of stories that deal with crime or mystery, a man cooks up a scam with his wife to live apart for 7 years while he claims she is missing presumed dead and therefore be able to claim on her life insurance, but the mousy wife gets used to her independent living and the plan changes. Some of the others are actually quite stark and shocking and the fore-runners of programmes such as Thriller and The Hammer House of Horror series. Especially good fun for the prologue and epilogue with Alfred Hitchcock where he tries to fit in the plug for the sponsors adverts as seamlessly as possible.- Was this review helpful to you?
