Really silly but good fun to watch if you are in the mood of watching something that is totally mindless ans you dont have to think.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not as terrible as I'd expected
By SteveC24 (25 reviews) from West Kent , 10 Apr 2010This is one of those films that everyone seems to have seen - and one that appears to divide the young from the old, and the hip from the has-beens.
I almost certainly fit into the old has-been category - but decided it was one of those films I should see, so I can comment properly on it!
I was pleasantly surprised actually - yes, it is thoroughly ridiculous, full of unnecessary rudeness, and frankly a load of rubbish.
BUT - it is relatively entertaining rubbish!
I won't be rushing to buy it on DVD - and will gladly never watch it again - but it's got a few cheap laughs in there - which should make most people smile (in amongst a few grimaces) at some point.- Was this review helpful to you?

Laugh, then laugh some more
By dfxdx (20 reviews) from London , 06 Mar 2008In a word, 'funny', in two words 'very funny'. This movie is a hilarious comedy and has to be watched by fans and those who have yet to be introduced to Ali G. Not the cerebral comedy you may find in Blackaddder, or the embarrassing/squirm in your seat comedy gags associated with Ben Stiller or Owen Wilson but big bright audio visual bubbles that explode with genious. Beware, the genious is in the form but the subjects are lowbrow - sexual innuendo is the main component. The plot is simple, wonderfully crafted and delivered in almost the perfect package. A film well worth the effort. Not quite a five star movie but this is more indicative of the genre than the film - it just lacks the gravitas that makes it a big screen movie. Definitely more suited to your DVD player at home - just make sure you keep feeding it with films like this.- Was this review helpful to you?

Obviously, yes, there are going to be people who hate this movie, but me, loved it!- Was this review helpful to you?
