Cartoon Fun
By Gavin O'Donnell from Stoke-on-Trent , 28 Feb 2007[Highly rated reviewer]
Very Funny, though it may seem a bit dated in context with todays fast editing and crazy graphics, but this was a good little animated series, and voiced by the genius that is Richard Briers.
The show was about a diminutive space time-traveller, Alias, who crash-lands into the medival kingdom of Haughton Bottoms. Befriended by the forgetful wizard, Meredith, Alias got a job as King Arthur's jester. In each ten minute episode he would save the day from from all sorts of strange goings on, and inevitably get fired by the grumpy king at the end of every episode. A great kids show that was recognised with a BAFTA award in 1986.- Was this review helpful to you?

get this for your kids.
By a customer from Sunderland , 24 Sep 2005I received the book off my dad when I was about 7(1967).I took it to school for my teacher to read to the class and everybody was moaning that they didn't want to hear it.Nevertheless she read it out over a period of a few weeks. The whole class, without exception, thanked me for bringing it in.It was lent to the school library until I left the school. It is the most fantastic story a child could wish for.I can't wait for the film version.Even if you don't get to rent this, try to get a copy of the book. You will not regret it.- Was this review helpful to you?
