Some small changes and some huge ones!!!
By a customer from Tyne & Wear,England , 24 Feb 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
ALIEN The Directors Cut has some small but interesting changes.
ALIENS Special Edition has been around for a while so theres nothing new there.
ALIEN 3 is the most surprising part of this Quadrilogy, the original version was possibly the most dissappointing movie in the ALIEN series but now i know this was due to cuts and bad editing, this is a more interesting and gripping movie altogether from start to finish. If you had the same opinion i had of ALIEN 3 this is a must see.
ALIEN RESURRECTION has some small changes.- Was this review helpful to you?

Please clarify the titles
By a2ed (30 reviews) from UK , 11 Mar 2011The rating I've given here is for the information on this page.
The first DVD title here states 'Aliens'.
So where is the first movie, 'Alien'? Is it combined with the DVD containing 'Aliens', in the 'bonus features' disc, or is it not included at all? I don't want the bonus DVD but am hesitating excluding it lest it contains 'Alien' as well. The listed titles are not in sync with the summary at the top of the page.- Was this review helpful to you?

Fantastic boxset
By Ydnaj3333 (31 reviews) from Bristol , 23 Jan 2010Combining the first four Alien movies and tons of special features - this really is a wonderful boxset.
For me, the Alien (Director's Cut), Aliens (Special Edition) and Alien Resurrection (Special Edition) are all improvements over the original. Alien3 however is better viewed as the Theatrical version, as the extended cut adds over 35 minutes of unnecessary story and footage.
The commetaries are very good, humourous and adding detail (especially good is Alien). Highly Recommended set.- Was this review helpful to you?
