5 stars for the movie,,. minus 2. 5 for the message...
this is an awkward one because the movie, the script, the casting and the acting are all excellent infact they are so excellent that the film hoodwinks you into rooting for the herione Lily Tomlin despite the films repellent message...
(Basically if you are rich you can have what ever you want even someone's soul...)
The more you think about it the very idea of the film is pretty horrific... if this film was instead about a woman who was rich enough to kill a poor younger woman for her liver would you still be cheering for her at the end?
Creepy idea glossed over in comedy...- Was this review helpful to you?

One to watch with your kids
By a customer from Cheshire, England , 01 Apr 2009I remember seeing this film back in 1984 when I was a big Steve Martin fan. I enjoyed it then and I found it equally amusing when I recently watched it with my 14 year old daughter. I think she enjoyed it as I noticed she laughed quite a few times but when I asked her afterwards if she had liked it she replied 'it was ok' (teenagers!). It's a very light hearted film, that's silly and funny. Very easy watching.- Was this review helpful to you?
