Something missing.By KDP from Lancashire England , 13 Apr 2005
[Highly rated reviewer]This film has the basis of a good tale (as the book surely is) but it's spoilt by the total lack of presence shown by Penelope Cruz ( what's all the fuss about??). I would like to have seen a lot more of Jimmy Blevins (played by Lucas Black),and for his performance I give the whole 3 stars.

Great apart from CruzBy a customer , 06 May 2013Great story, excellent direction and production, but somewhat let down by the lack of chemistry between Damon and Cruz - she lets its down by being a bit wooden, so it could have been so much better
if u like horses and old movies then this is the one for uBy a customer , 02 May 2013i dont watch these sort of things but i was easly drawn to it i read the book which i thought was better then the film i love horses so that was what brought my attention i hope u like it
Just very ordinary...By a customer , 05 Apr 2013Don't watch it if you've read the book. Without the depth and life, and ignoring most of the meaning, you'll find it a disappointment. If you haven't read the book you'll probably enjoy it - it's not bad, just very ordinary...
Flat and lifelessBy ShellBunny (20 reviews) , 11 Jan 2013Really disappointed with this movie. I think the word dull best describes it. I had absolutely no empathy for the characters. The film did not develop; it just dragged on with the same dull energy giving no sense of movement at all. It fizzled out and dried up and then it ended.
A real filmBy a customer , 04 Jan 2013Gripping story not at all what I expected. Matt Damon is brilliant a real movie goers film not just a flick
