The quirky Australian comedy ALMOST stars Rosanna Arquette as Wendie Walters, a Madame Bovary-like housewife who retreats into her beloved romance novels to escape the boredom of her unfulfilling marriage. When her travelling-salesman husband, Ronnie (Bruce Spence), forgets their 10th wedding anniversary, Wendie dreams up an elaborate fantasy involving a mysterious hunk named Jake (Hugo Weaving) while her husband gets stuck in the Australian outback on a particularly hapless sales call.
