While stalking a new mate, a body count begins to emerge and Detective Hannah (John Shrapnel) is called in to follow the trail of victims in hopes it will lead to the whereabouts of the killer. I feel obliged to defend this film from the negative reviews it has received so far.
It's fair to say if your idea of horror is lots of blood, guts and special effects then you will find precious little of that here but in my opinion that is not to the film's detriment.
This is an artistic film that is filmed in a large part through the eyes of an obsessive compulsive stalker/serial killer in a way that is genuinely disturbing, the detective investigating the murders and the therapist are surprisingly unsettling considering that they are supposed to be the good guys.
I concede that this is not an outright terrifying film and the ending is slightly disappointing but it is nonetheless deeply unnerving and far from easy viewing and I am glad that I rented it.
This film is very strange, spent the whole time frowing with a question mark above my head. Some very strange ways of killing people, keeps you wondering is this thing male/female although you do find out at the end.....hmmmmm
