This was surprisingly good. It does lack somewhat in depth but I suppose target audience does apply. Willis does a good job acting against type and shock horror ole timberhead is pretty good, though there might be a arguement he was playing himself in most scenes!
After hearing alot of mixed reviews about alpha dog, particularly pointing out that it was a rubbish film, I decided to watch it for myself. Before watching the film I had no idea that it was a true story and as I continued to watch the film it started to become clear what was going to happen, you coulld almost read the build up and I felt, that element kept me intrigued. I was hooked and at the end i was amazed and shocked when I saw what they did to the kid. I was so interested that I decided to do some research on the film myself. I have to say I felt JT played his part quite well but I have to hand it to Ben Foster who played as Jake Mazurski a short fused drug pumped animal. He was the highlight of the film, althought he did not appear at all towards the far end of the film. I would say, dont listen to the negative reviews, if you like true movies, give it a shot, was definetly worth a rental and I would probably rent it again

In the interim, Cassavetes (The Notebook) has taken the opportunity to... Read more
